Coffee filters: Removed some of the smell. Not very effective, but less messy than pure kitty litter.
Tights: Better than coffee filters, worse than pure kitty litter (but obviously less messy). Seems to be best if left for a day or two. This will be my solution for now…
Leave them out in the sun? Have you tried that?

I have for drying but not desmelling. I’ll test it.
